| | | Re: Plants in odd places Thank you Claire ,by the way I know I'm a sucker for this kind of thing ,but I did mean to say stuck in. I love the way plants will grow where there is almost no soil, on old walls, in rain guttering, on roof tops and chimney pots.I'ts amazing to see quite large trees growing up on buildings.I've recently seen a Buddleia growing way up on an old house.Lovely, isn't it.

| | | Re: Plants in odd places I came across a sunflower growing out of the side of a wall the other day! It had managed to grow about 3 feet before flowering. Quite an amazing site! |

| | | Re: Plants in odd places We put a garden path in the back garden of a previous house, the path had been down for about 15 years when we decided to change it, when we lifted the slabs I was astonished to see fully flowered and very flattened crocuses loads of them! I wondered how they could ever flower with no light! LOL hardy little bulbs aren't they?
