It looks interesting, and I'd go along with Tiggrx's assessment that it's probably some kind of Atriplex sp.
Perhaps some clearer photos would be possible, because I think that's the only way we'd ever be able to be sure? |

Could be Atriplex patula, but the lower leaves are not very coarsely toothed, and I can't see edges of upper leaves which should not be. Very intriguing. |

I have googled Atriplex and none of the forms shown there make me think this is one of them.
Sheep sorrel looks similar but it is not that either.
I am stunned that noone here can name it. Worth collecting a sample and sending it off perhaps. |

Atriplex can be very variable within a species + a good hand-lens to look at the sculpturing of the fruits is necessary for a positive ID. |

It also helps when trying to ID a plant from a photo to have some details of where it was growing etc ........
Just a thought as I can't see details in the photo's very clearly, could it be Dittander, Lepidium latifolium? | | | |
