another 2 ID's please

1 growing on a woodland ride. Very common here but I've never seen it anywhere else. It looks to me to be a subspecies of common knapweed? Or just a strange variation....the flower heads are smaller than common knapweed, it is just starting to flower and the plants are a lot bigger and the leaves a lot thinner...

2 this was growing by a road on fairly damp soil. My first thought was deadly nightshade but I'm not so sure.... It was very hairy and didn't have flowers yet

good shout but that's hairless and this was very hairy!

Hardheads in poor nutrient soil? Mind you thats what they like - maybe just early in their season, they will get bigger????
They do start a bit small and flourish if memory serves me right.
No idea on the second.
