Today i decided to venture to the north of the county and pic myself some bilberries.................







there was litteraly tons of bilberries.... but i was only collecting a few (this was after half hour picking)





as i moved out of the woods and onto the open heath i found the heath was almost carpeted in bilberry plants for miles.





As the day progressed my back and knee's where starting to hurt, the weather turned and the rain started to bucket down

Lucky you, I rarely see them up her though we have lots of them. The deer seem to beat me to them every year

I saw only one deer yesterday though i did note that on the road leading up to the location there was a sign warning road users of deer. Personally i thought when i got there i would find the birds would have made an easy meal of the berries, but they had not and i had greatly underestimated the amount of bilberries there was there.
