| | | thistle like plant for ID I noticed this growing by the shed, looks like a kind of thistle? any ideas?

like these i found a few days ago at Rother Valley park a few days ago, the had reached around 8ft, and were still growing !!
you can just see a 4ft high fence post in the bottom left corner to give you a bit of perspective on the teasels height.

Brian. | Ah that's more like the Teasle I'm familiar with  . Do they seed easily? as I was thinking it would be good if we got growing throughout the garden, with reason though of course

The seed heads persist throughout the winter and they attract goldfinches |

Watch your hands when handling - its all a bit prickly!

so proceed with caution  , although i would imagine it would be easy enough to keep them in check.
