| | | Orchid I came across this today
and although the flowers are Common(or Heath) Spotted Orchid like there was no spotting on the leaves. Does this develop later or is it a different species?
Thanks

Mal | The shape of the flower is more common spotted Mal and I'd go for that - but both common and heath spotted can be quite variable and not always have spots on the leaves.
Just to complicate, they are both frequent hybridisers with each other and southern marsh orchid.
Cheers
Ken

| | | Re: Orchid Looks more like Common Spotted Orchid to me. The spots look right and Heath Spotted is usually paler. The spotting on the leaves is variable. Some orchids have lots and some have none. |
