Blue wild flower for ID

I planted wild flower seeds last year and I have a load of new plants I don't know the name of, does anyone recognise this plant.

Looks like Viper's-bugloss, Echium vulgare, to me.

that's Viper's Bugloss, and as you're photo shows it's loved by bees, a very beautiful plant & nothing else looks like it so easy to id once you've got it in your head.
Mind out for the prickly hairs on it, they're annoying if you get them in your skin & some people get a rash from them.

What did you plant, was it a seed mix or flower plugs? I love Viper's Bugloss and my soil would support it, I could do a wild-flower meadow, we already have Primrose, Cowslip and 3 types of Speedwell.

Thanks both, what a fantastic name, as you say its loved by the bees, in return for me planting it I get a chance to photograph the Bees, a good trade

Yes I planted a seed mix that I purchased online, many have yet to flower so look out for more help messages, one has a line of jaggy prickles under the leaf, I think it could be pretty nasty if you were running through it.

The jaggy spikes under the leaves could be teasels, at a guess. Where was your mix from?

I can't remember the supplier of the seeds, it was recomended on the Bee conservation web site last year, it was a scottish company thats about as much as I can remember.
