| | | Two Pink and One Yellow for ID Please All of these pics were taken on Carnmoney Hill, Newtownabbey, N.Ireland. Pics 1 and 2 were taken in September 2008 and the 3rd was taken in August 2007. IDs anyone?

common fleabane - I love this flower it's like a child's drawing of a flower.

not sure about the 3rd! | 1) Redshank (Ampibious Bistort doesn't have the black spots on the leaves which are present on Redshank 
2) Common Fleabane
3) Red Bartsia

3) Red Bartsia | actually having got to the office and got me book out, it turns out that amphibious bistort can have the dark blotches though I think its referring to the terrestrial form. and having another look at the pic, I think I have decided on redshank like KT anyway as it looks smaller in jizz than the amphibious relative.
Oh and of course red bartsia!!! I flippen KNEW that!! Curses!!!   |
