They are growing fast now...over a metre high so far!
ID please...cos if it's just a weed it will be removed cos it's blocking my veiw of the ground feeders under the bird table...but maybe it will produce some huge exotic flowers????

Yup it's a teasel, one of my (many) favorite plants, bees absolutely love it & the seeds are eaten by finches, you also get little colonies of water bugs living in the little pools of water that collect where the leaf meets the stem. Up to you if you pull it up, it shouldn't grow much taller.
A random fact- it's called teasel coz the seed head was used to tease sheep wool before spinning it, if you let it grow then you'll see why! |

| | | Re: ID please! Oh right...I know teasels...we used to pick them when I was young & spray them for Christmas!!But I didn't realise they were this big!!!
