I'm going up to Sandscale tomorrow for orchids. Does anyone know if theres any other plants I could get. Its probably best via a PM if its rare.  |

I went there last year in search of the old Coralroot and found NOTHING!!
Which was a blow, but they are there you just need to ask the warden but I think they might be over by now, especially with this hot weather. However, I did photograph early-marsh (dune ssp.), northern marsh and lots of dune and green-flowered helleborines in bud
If you want coralroot, I have a better site that I'm going to this weekend

It's a big, hot and dry place. Wear a hat and take water.

When you were posting your replies I was already leaving Sandscale after finding the Coralroot Orchid but not finding the Tassel Hyacinth. Oh well orchids are better  I'll upload to the Gallery soon. All the plants I have seen are on the KT Plant Diaries Thread |

So there _is_ an advantage to living North of Luton after all!

I'm deeply envious, but travelling North of Luton is a high price to pay for seeing them!

You've got some great shots there and have caught the plants in their prime. I particularly like the second shot - you've got the depth of view just right to get the plant sharp and also stand out from the background.

Jim | Thanks Jim. I took so many shots I wasnt sure which would be best. I think I've finally got to grips with GIMP sharpening |
