It is Russian Comfrey (Symphytum x uplandicum) |

To tell the difference between the two species it is best to look at where the leaves join the stem.
In Common Comfrey there is a long wing which extends down the stem from the leaf base 
In Russian Comfrey the wing is small or absent  |

We're probably back to Turf Locks tonight, so I'll have another look at the clump of Russian Comfrey with different eyes! if not Turf Locks it'll be Double Locks, so a whole new raft of photos tomorrow!  | | |
