Could somebody confirm whether this pinkish-flowered daisy is Tall Fleabane, Erigeron annuus? The photos seem to match, but it's not a species I'm at all familiar with

No, it isn't. Here is a picture of E. annuus to compare


Your plant looks rather more course and 'solid'. I wonder if it could be E. philadelphicus (a species I am unfamiliar with)

Thanks, Tiggrx - it certainly does look to be Erigeron philadelphicus (Robin's-plantain)

Another excellent find for the Leigh Woods road verges, too - why there should be such a plethora of alien plants in this small area, I've no idea. The E. philadelphicus make up five or six sizeable clumps, and they certainly weren't there last summer
