Im not sure how true this is, but someone once told me that the trees with lots of red berries means that it would be a bad winter. I wouldnt know why. Is this true?
Does anyone else have any stories like this?

Does anyone else have any stories like this? | I have also heard this one Ogwen, but never realy thought it was true, my asumption on there being a lot of red berries is that it has been a favourable summer rather than a bad winter coming.

I agree with Paul,a tree or shrub requires optimum conditions to produce
a heavy crop,the following seasons weather is coincidental

Asked an old farmer once if this were true 'Does a lot of berries on a bush mean a bad winter is coming'? His reply - 'No it just means there's a lot of berries on bushes'!
