Summer Jasmine ( J. officinale) occurs in places around Bristol and has white flowers, Italian Jasmine ( J. humile) has totally different, almost ash-like leaves and Winter Jasmine, J. nudiflorum, flowers in winter to early spring (in any case, the flowers are quite different).

Having now looked in a book I can see it also differs from J. nudiflorum as that has opposite leaves which this specimen doesn't. |
