Question white yellow flower ID
this has been in flower for a few Weeks now, growing out of the stonework along a river - its got me stumped.
There are gardens nearby, so an escapee is very likely - any help appreciated.

It looks like a Polyanthus (Primula x polyantha), the garden version of the cross between Primrose (P. vulgaris) & Cowslip (P. veris). They self-seed and escape pretty freely, so spring up in all sorts of unexpected places

It could be just an old and withered Primrose.

Looks like the multi-headed form of Primrose (Primula vulgaris var. caulescens)

Thanks guys - it does seem more like garden polyanthus, not a primula as such - ill keep an eye on it now I have a steer.
