| | | Identification please Some time ago I planted various bulbs around the garden and most I can identify from the packaging which I retained but the large flowers amongst the small blue ones (which I also need to identify) do not relate to any of the packs. The blooms close up at night and open wide in the sunshine, although appearing fragile they withstand heavy rain and strong winds. I would appreciate any identification, thanks. |

| | | Re: Identification please The tulips are Tulipa saxatilis, Cretan Tulip; it's hard to be certain, but I'd hazard a good guess the small, blue flowers will be Wood Forget-me-not, Myosotis sylvatica. |

| | | Re: Identification please Thanks for the feedback. My wife and I are really surprised at the speed of the identification, she really likes this particular tulip so we now know what variety to buy for next year's plantings. As for the Forget-me-Nots I should now have no problem in remembering them. Thanks again |

| | | Re: Identification please It is a lovely tulip and it does well in a warm spot. However, it can be a bit shy-flowering in some years. I think it was a good year this year - in my mother's garden it produced 20 flowers. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
