thanks guys, greatly appreciated. I live in a flat and we don't have a garden and I don't own a car, if they take this away from us we have nothing  We are getting a lot of help from the woodland trust and I'm waiting for some info from the Bat Conservation society, We hope to add that many restrictions to the plans that they won't be able to lift a shovel into the woodland, What hurts the most is that the estate was gifted to "THE PEOPLE" in the 17th century.
For more infor you can check out Save Craigie Woods (Save Craigie Woods) | MySpace.com there trying to say the tree's are diseased (yup, 500 tree's in a straight line.) They didn't count on me being a qualified Arborists and time served tree surgeon, A couple of days with silky saws removing Ivy and mabye take out the rhodedenron to stop spread of anything like sudden oak.
