| | | Adders Tongue Fern Question. Checked out some Adders Tongue today, i could not believe the amount that was growing in an area roughly half the size of a tennis court. We did a rough count and there was in excess of 750 of these little beauties.
(Q) Do they normally grow together in such large numbers or is this unusual? |

| | | Re: Adders Tongue Fern Question. If it is the right habitat, unimproved pasture/grassland then it is not uncommon to find it in profusion.
Unfortunately such habitat is disappearing continuously.
All the best

All the best | Cheers.
I've had another look at the site and they are now showing in their Thousands across the whole site. They seem to prefer the areas that have been disturbed by the Tractors during hay making, and growing in association with the Plantains. |

I think your plant is Ranunculus flammula / Lesser Spearwort. |

I think your plant is Ranunculus flammula / Lesser Spearwort. | We checked pretty much everywhere. The plant might have disappeared because its quite rare here in the North. Lots of work has been done to "beautify" the nature reserve Hic Bibi, Coppull | Wild About Britain | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
