1 both different plants....i was wondering whether either could possibly be italian l+l...   
2 found in a farm yard in norith wilts. I'm thinking red deadnettle? but need a confirmation...

My book suggests that Italian version has the yellowy spadix as in your photo. the dark purple spadix is common lords and ladies.... |

All my UK pictures of the Common Cuckoo Pink are dark red/brown except for a very young specimen.
From memory the Italian one was distinctly larger, though what size they are in our climate I don't know.
