| | | Cacti Ok i'm not sure where to put this thread but i recently bought some cacti from the shop and i was interested in knowing which cacti i have bought exactly.....
The first is very spiny
i believe the other cacti growing with it is aloe Vera.
The second.... (not the bold one) |

In Mexico it is known as Peyote and is a source of mescalin, a potent hallucinogenic. I don't know what the situation is now but like magic mushrooms it used to be suggested that it was illegal to grow it.

I am aware the second is a peyote and they are not illegal to grow. I am not sure what you ment by "i can see where you are going" but i chose not to name this cacti because of what it was.... They do hower flower nicely.... i like cacti that flower.

I agree L.w has beautiful flowers but I know a lot were removed from collections back in the 70s. I kept mine!
