Does anyone know of any sites for Virgin's-bower, Clematis flammula? It's meant to be naturalised along the south coast of England, where I'm planning to head next week, but I can't find any specific locations.
In fact, information on any established unusual aliens in the Dorset & Hampshire areas would come in very handy  |

Not seen it myself, but a quick look in the Flora of Dorset brings up only one site:
"Established by the railway, Corfe Castle"
If your in the area it might be worth a look.
If you are in the area of West Bay (just next to Bridport) then it is worth looking for the Rottingdean Sea-lavender (Limonium hyblaeum). I saw it there a few years ago. Just walk along the path road along the sea and it is abundant in some short turf (partly within garden lawns) with a species of Frankenia - allegedly F. laevis but I don't think it is...
Also if you are near Portland then look for Portuguese Squill (Scilla peruviana) in St George's churchyard | | |
