was I mislead?

I purchased these flowers a couple of years ago the label said cowslip.
Is this correct



They are seeding everywhere including the lawn and bees do love them.

indeed it is cowslip the small flowers with the orange ring in the middle is distinctive

i saw lots of these >>>> well they looked similiar growing on protected chalk grass land today

Thanks KT After I saw a thread by Pete Collins Got me thinking I had been mis- sold but I can see the difference now you've pointed out the orange circle

yours will be the same species as this which is most likely its a common grassland flower. moreso than the oxlip which is a bit more selective and less widespread in distribution. the cowslips are all over the motorway verges at the moment

Note also the size of the flower - much smaller than the polyanthus.
