| | | Flowers needing ID A couple of flowers in need of ID from today:
Is this ivy-leaved toadflax ( Cymbalaria sp.) just the common C. muralis in a white form I've never seen before, or could it be Italian Toadflax ( C. pallida), a plant I've also never seen?
This cherry, in an old cemetery, was probably planted many years ago. It doesn't seem quite right for Wild Cherry, Prunus avium - I was wondering whether it might be Japanese Cherry, P. serrulata? Could anyone a bit more used to cherries than me offer an opinion? |

| | | Re: Flowers needing ID 1. Yep, white form of C. muralis
2. I think is just Wild Cherry (Prunus avium). P. serrulata has different shaped teeth at the edges of the leaves |

I'd never come across a white form of C. muralis before and, when it comes to Prunus blossom, I usually take the cowards' way out of "waiting for the leaves"! |
