| | | Foliage ID I would appreciate some second opinions on these two plants please. I have some idea as to what they might be but would like other peoples thoughts.
Both where photographed at Warley Place, Essex which is a long abandoned garden where many unusual plant species have survived.
I won't say what I think they are yet so that I don't influence your thoughts.
Thanks for any help

Number 2 I'm not at all sure about but my first thought was a fumitory of some description, either Fumaria or Corydalis sp. |

| | | Re: Foliage ID Hi Aaron
My first thoughts were: Aconitum species and Corydalis species but the second isn't quite right for Corydalis I don't think, so.....
All the best

| | | Re: Foliage ID Thanks for all the suggestions, I guess I had better say what my thought's are.
1. I think is an Aconitum - A. lycoctonum (Wolf's-bane) is recorded for the site, but I'm not sure that the leaves are the right shape for that.
2. I think may be Narrow-leaved Bittercress (Cardamine impatiens) - a plant which I would know at once in flower/fruit but am not to sure about in leaf.
Does anyone agree/disagree with these thoughts? | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
