| | | "Blue" Anemones These plants are supposed to be Blue Anemone, Anemone apennina, photographed today in the Cotswold Water Park, Wiltshire; flowering time is about right (most were just coming into bloom), but I've seen a lot of Balkan Anemone ( A. blanda) so far this Spring and I can't satisfy myself these are any different!
So - are they A. apennina, or A. blanda? |

| | | Re: "Blue" Anemones I think they are probably A. apennina. The leaves look wrong for A. blanda and they look as if they are hairy beneath. I also think I can see hairs towards the base of the sepals (the blue things that look like petals ) which would also mean A. apennina. |

Is it a petalless plant like green hellebore, mezereon and others? |
