Hello everyone. I'm new to Wild About Britain.
My main motivation for signing up is that I am very keen to find and photograph Mountain Avens.
I live in Yorkshire and I understand that it can still be found in the Yorkshire Dales. Do any of you know where I cd find it, and, more to the point be prepared to direct me to it?

I understand it's known to flourish on the tops of some of the scars around Arncliffe, (flowering June-July), but wouldn't know exactly where.
It's a plant that I too would like to get some photo's of.

my back garden (but its in a pot), dont know exactly where in yorks - seen them well in upper teesdale though, not too far away - as a previous thread last year mentions, great place for very many rare plants, including spring gentian.
A terrific book for this sort of thing is wild flowers in danger by john fisher.
Googling will help more, sorry Tony - and welcome to WAB!
