| | | Flowers in Scilly Thought you guys might like to see some of the plants which I saw in my recent holiday in the Scillies.
Many of the most noticeable Scilly plants are naturalised exotics and include many sorts of bulbs - especially daffodils:
Bunch-flowered Daffodil
Paperwhite Daffodil
Primrose-peerless
Neapolitan Garlic
Also many South African species:
Deltoid-leaved Dewplant
Bermuda-buttercup
Pale Dewplant
Chasmanthe
Scilly Pigmyweed
and a few Australians:
Australian Blackwood
and a few are just bizarre:
Fleshy Yellow-sorrel
Of course there are spectacular natives species too...
Least Adder's-tongue
Managed to get a list of about 285 species in a very warm, sunny week - definitely somewhere I want to go back to |
