How do you tell lungwort and narrow-leaved lungwort apart? I know the leaves are different but its hard to tell.....

the narrow leaved is a very rare plant in Britain.
Lungwort has a pink and a purple flower but the narrow has just 2 blue ones and you can get a white form as well  |

I'm pretty sure the narrow leaved version is restricted to the New Forest area, maybe the IoW too. There is an even rarer sp. restricted to a few private woods in East Anglia... |

According to Roger Phillips there are two varieties of narrow leaved Lungwort, Pulmonaria longifolia,a native perennial with heavy leaf spotting, and Pulmonaria angustifolia,an introduced perennial with very little leaf spotting, of which I found a large clump on Monday.
