Can anyone give me an opinion as to the identity of this one? I was thinking Lesser Chickweed, Stellaria pallida, but I'm really not sure. |

| | | Re: Low-growing plant for ID IMHO I don't think its a lesser chickweed because the stems look a bit too woody I'm afraid. It does remind me of a creeping cotoneaster species but it might not be that. I'll have a look into it for you |

| | | Re: Low-growing plant for ID It's a bit tricky to discern size from a photo, but I promise you it's a very small non-woody plant, in the fashion of a Cerastium or Stellaria. It was growing out of a barely-there crack in a wall above the Avon Gorge - whatever else it might be, a Cotoneaster it certainly isn't |
