| | | Re: Narcissuses I'd say that photo No. 1 was Narcissus x incomparibilis, Nonesuch Daffodil - one reference guide says it's meant to be commonly naturalised in the UK, but I haven't yet found one this spring
The second one's a bit confusing because the flower's going over a bit, but it looks like a variety of the "common" Wild Daffodil, Narcissus pseudonarcissus; probably of the nominate subspecies? |

I'm glad to have actually found something good for a change as this might be the first record for my local park of this daffodil |

The big problem comes with the isolated bulbs you come across in hedgerows, on roadsides etc, probably thrown out of gardens years ago and of all kinds of cultivars that never seem to match up to a "proper" species or even hybrid.
