Im still sure its opposite leaved golden saxifrage, they start off early like this and then eventually develop and unfurl to become this

The plant in the photo shows 2 leaves and in celandine, there is just the one leaf that comes up on its own and then develops into a flower.

It also goes by very bizarre names like Loveman and Sticky Willy. It's often called Goosegrass because geese like eating it, though I've read there's a truer Goose Grass than this one, a lawn weed Eleusine indica
