| | | One White, one Pink and one Yellow from Moor Lane These photos were taken at Moor Lane Nature Reserve near Warrington on 8th July 2007. The third pic shows two views of the same type of plant. Help needed with IDs.
Thanks, John. |

| | | Re: One White, one Pink and one Yellow from Moor Lane The first is Sneezewort and the last is Yellow-wort ........ the middle is a garden plant I think? For some reason I find myself thinking of petunias but I could be a long way off the mark!
I'm sure someone who knows what they are on about will be along soon John

| | | Re: One White, one Pink and one Yellow from Moor Lane According to Clement & Foster's Alien Plants of the British Isles, the proper name for No.2 is Zonal Geranium, Pelargonium x hortorum.
Was this an escaped plant (in a wild situation, I mean) or part of a garden display? I'd always thought they were sterile, but Clement & Foster lists it as a "casual garden escape, spreading by seed in Burnham-on-Sea (N. Somerset)" |

John | You're welcome John. A pity we didn't get to meet up when you were over - Moore reserve is not far from us (tho I find it a long tiring trek between hides lugging the camera gear!) My ideas about a break in Northern Ireland have also gone way over the horizon with the latest probs and care of my mam - but I haven't forgotten it entirely - its on the back of my mind! Keep enjoying that black t godwit 'hide' for us!
