| | | Wildflowers and Plants from Three Mile Water All of these photos were taken at Three Mile Water, Newtownabbey, N.Ireland on the same day in September 2008. The first had quite a large leaf. You make just about notice a dung fly near the top left of the leaf. This may give some idea of the scale. The second I think is some type of bindweed and the others "I know nothing" as Manuel from Fawlty Towers would say. IDs would be great.
Thanks, John. |

| | | Re: Wildflowers and Plants from Three Mile Water 2. The bud just in the lower left of the pic suggests Large Bindweed (Calystegia silvatica).

| | | Re: Wildflowers and Plants from Three Mile Water 1 agree with leifus - Woody Nightshade/Bittersweet.
2 agree with leifus - Hedge or Large Bindweed - Can't really determine from the photo, as would need to see whether the flower's bractioles were overlapping or not.
3 I think these are Viburnum berries, but not certain of exact species.
4 Agree with leifus - Cabbage family but I can't determine which species.
Regards

| | | Re: Wildflowers and Plants from Three Mile Water charlock can be discounted from number 4 because although the petals look similar, charlock has denser flowerheads than this one and the leaves look wrong.
After looking on a few websites it looks to me like Annual Wall-rocket | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
