Thanks everyone for providing IDs for these plants. Your help is invaluable and much appreciated. Just one query. Are they native species or garden escapees etc?

Hi John,

Burdock is a native, honeysuckle is also native but there are lots of cultivars that have escaped and the montbretia is originally from South Africa, but is widely naturalised throughout the British Isles particularly to the west.

Montbretia actually arose in cultivation, though both of its parents are South African.

Quite true, I should have said that the Crocosmia ssp. it was cultivated from were from S. Africa
