What plant please?
Not very pretty, not even sure whether the plant has flower or fruit on it. Patches of this grew about 50cm high near wood margins yesterday. Please would someone id it for me. I have had a go myself but no luck. Julie

Common Gromwell (Lithospermum officinale) - the hard white fruits are very distinctive

Thank you. Tiggrx. I did look at that but it showed the fruit in threes, instead of singularly like mine, in my id book. Glad I know now. Thank you. Julie

I think a lot of the fruits have dropped off your plant - there are a few pairs and one group of three fruits in your pic
