| | | Re: Thistle confusion If its as low to the ground as it looks in your photo then its a dwarf thistle..cirsium acaule they grow to 5cm They all look similar my favourite is milk thistle..l |

| | | Re: Thistle confusion It's very pale though, all the ones I have seen are a very deep magenta I think the ID is probably right though, esp based on the number of species around it which suggest quality grassland! My boss calls them picnic thistles |
