Whilst checking my blog to see if I had any more photos of a bellflower, I spotted the small yellow flower next to the avocet. I think you can see it better if you click the photo whilst in the library and scroll to where the flower is. The yellow flower looks like a creeping species. So is yellow horned poppy an option?  |

it is a cinquefoil - id say creeping or spring

cheers Leif. this was on 30th of June so creeping is probably more likely. |

thats ok - yellow-horned poppy is like this: 
(sorry about the mobile phone pic   )
and creeping starts flowering in june and spring ends flowering in june
