| | | Sarasson's Woundwort I have a friend in the local botanical group who calls Broad Leaved Ragwort "Sarassons Woundwort".
Is this an old name because he has been doing botany for about 50 years and he mostly only speaks in Latin. The latin name he says for that is senecio fluviatalis which is Broad leaved ragwort. Has anyone heard of it being called this? |

| | | Re: Sarasson's Woundwort But he probably spells it Saracen's Woundwort
Geoffrey Grigson gives Saracen's Consound or Saracen's Comfrey as names.

the flowers are all different | problems with English names again KT!
think of Burnet Saxifrage - neither a Burnet nor a Saxifrage . . .
perhaps that's why your botanical friend "mostly only speaks in Latin"
