KT - if you can revisit the garden, have a look where the plant stood. The Oriental Poppy is a perennial and the leaves might be showing (they are in my garden), Opium Poppy will be long gone.

| | | Re: Oriental Poppy? Do you remember how big the flower was - it sort of looks like a really intense coloured Corn Poppy to me.
I used to visit the dunes in that area when I was a teenager as I have relatives close by. I can remember spending one long day dragging my mother and an aunt over the dunes searching for Grass-of-Parnassus and eventually finding masses of it. Quote:
