| | | Signs of spring? Walking today i found a clump of bluebells poking their heads out of the soil already!!
Being such a cold winter i was suprised that they are growing in January, and it got me thinking.
1) Is this normal (and i just don't notice)
2) Is there anwhere else in the country this is occuring
Thanks
Poirot

This time last year the floor of our local Bluebell wood was green with the emerging shoots (they still didn't flower any earlier than usual) and the local Snowdrop patch had almost finished flowering. This year both are just beginning to show through the leaf litter.
I think the cold patch really slowed things up.
All the best
