| | | Ivy-leaved-toadflax advice This one was photographed earlier today, in full flower on an old dry-stone wall; it's probably just a brain freeze, but I can't make up my mind whether it's Italian Toadflax ( Cymbalaria pallida) or just plain old Ivy-leaved Toadflax ( C. muralis). Some suggestions would be very useful |

Looks like C.muralis to me. I always think that with C.pallida the flowers look ridiculously disproportionately large compared to the leaves! .
Added: but looking at all the pictures I can see where you are coming from but also it looks glabrous to me, again suggesting C.muralis.
All the best

| | | Re: Ivy-leaved-toadflax advice Thanks, all - I wasn't expecting to see it in flower in January, which was probably what threw me |

| | | Re: Ivy-leaved-toadflax advice It's actually a very attractive plant - here's a picture of one (definitely C. muralis ) that I took earlier in the year in close-up; presumably that's why it was originally introduced? | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
