Even though its still far from spring, I found this what looks like a mayweed. but I think it was a bit tall for a mayweed
It was growing up a hedge to about 50cm high. 
this is the leaf. 
It was growing up into the hedge a lot like ivy and the tares do. |

Looks like it is probably Scentless Mayweed (Tripleurospermum inodorum). It has probably grown abnormal tall because it was shaded by the hedge. |

yeah I would agree with Tiggrx but it is hard to id these from a photo unfortunately - you didn't notice a smell then?
some of these can have very strong smells

I'd go with Scentless Mayweed too. Next time crush the flowerhead and see if there is a pleasant, unpleasant, or no smell to it. that should sort the id for you.
