| | | Unidentified flower These have been sitting in my 'working' folder since I took them at the end of June. I can't find a match for them. They were about three feet tall (1 metre for the young ones )
They were growing wide by a drainage ditch in Somerset but I can't garrantee they're native.
Thanks

| | | Re: Unidentified flower Not native, but sometimes naturalised, it's the white form (yellow is the normal colour) of Moth Mullein, Verbascum blattaria. Nice find.
I found 2 plants with creamy white flowers in my local country park this year. |

Now that you've got the ID, what about adding your pics to this thread as well? Albino Flower Photo Board

| | | Re: Unidentified flower Without being too picky, they're white colour variants not albino as are Pete's pics in the other thread.

| | | Re: Unidentified flower well its not verbascum chaixii or v. nigrum so I think moth mullein is a good suggestion |

| | | Re: Unidentified flower I'd agree with that, although it's not always easy to be certain of these from just a close-up of the flowers.
I've only ever seen one plant of V. blattaria, many years ago in a Gloucestershire quarry - I guess it's just one of those casuals you're occasionally lucky enough to come across, hopefully I'll be able to track one down over the coming season |

| | | Re: Unidentified flower Thanks folks.
I knew I'd seen that flower shape before and now I can compare it with the Great & Dark Mullien that I have pictures of.
I wish I'd got more pictures of it now, it's not a site I'll ever be able to get into again.
The photo was a focus stack of three, must have been a still day.
