Just came across this image of a thistle like plant taken earlier in the year at Barafundle Bay, Wales. Can anyone put a name to it please?

| | | Re: Coastal Plant For ID Interesting that the stem is so long. The Carline Thistles I meet on chalk downland have hardly any stem at all, and you only discover them when you sit on them when eating your sandwiches!
