| | | Unidentified "orchid like" flower Hi, can any help with the identification of this plant - Its perhaps not truly relevant to this site as it was growing on a roadside verge in central France. But it is such an unusual looking flower I would love to know what it is. |

| | | Re: Unidentified "orchid like" flower Not an orchid at all- it looks like a Tassel Hyacinth, Muscari comosum, to me- close relative of the Grape Hyacinths regularly grown (+escaping!) from UK gardens. |

It seems to be a native of the mediterranean area so this must be a far north example. The flora in this area of France (dead centre) seems virtually identical to the UK but this plant really stood out as something unusual. Merci beacoup. |
