Abutilons are best grown in sheltered south facing position and given lots of water when established, if your going to pot them. Propagate seeds in Spring from March to May or soft cuttings, with the littlest dab of hormone powder. If grown outside place them in an air tight bag for maximum humidity and replace every couple of days. This is to prevent any excess moisture from rotting the cuttings, until the weather becomes at a temperature above 18c, when you can do away with the bag. That is unless you plan to grow them in a conservatory!
