| | | Help with confusing daisy... When I first photographed this, about a week ago at the end of October, I identified it as Autumn Ox-eye ( Leucanthemella serotina), but now I'm not at all sure and am wondering whether it's just a very late Ox-eye Daisy ( Leucanthemum vulgare)?
I've never seen one flowering past early September before, these plants did look far too sturdy and it's in an area well-blessed with various garden escapes, but I can't find a decent picture of L.serotina online to help me say for sure. I was hoping someone who was more familiar with the plant could offer some advice? |

| | | Re: Help with confusing daisy... Hi davidbr,
I wouldn't be confident enough to offer a contradictory opinion, as it does look like an ox-eye to me.
Here in Lancashire as well, there are still a few bedraggled ox-eyes to be seen.
Regards
Mike. |

| | | Re: Help with confusing daisy... Thanks to everyone who's replied - I've never seen an Ox-eye Daisy flowering that late before and probably if it'd been July I wouldn't have given it a second glance!
Just wishful thinking I guess... | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
