Winter Heliotrope First Dates
Since I am having a race against Leifus to find the earliest winter heliotrope and aconite. When should I start looking for heliotrope? I know its earlier than aconite. I saw it last year late Jan and it was starting to go over. So should I start looking in December?

I'm planning to make a trip to a couple of sites where I found the leaves in early January, but I think a lot will depend on what kind of weather we get in December. A few hard frosts could push everything back.

I went to the place where it grows today and only the leaves are up. so it should be up soon
