| | | another plant for id
two pictures of same plant. sorry about the poor photograph.
I found this extremely fine climber today. It was growing on a hill side that leads up onto the moors, so the soil should be acidic. It was climbing over ferns and bracken. The plant is very fine and delicate the flowers are only
2mm at most, the leaves i would say are a similar size. It was climbing over low lying vegetation by use of tendrils like pea plants.
The tendrils where very fine like a thick piece of hair.
I have never scene this plant before. I was stood under a tree sheltering from the rain and had been stood there for ten minutes before noticing the plant so i would say it could easily be overlooked
Also the white flowers had very fine lines in the mouth of the flower. I fetched a small piece home in order to take a better photo but it had completely shrivelled up when i got it home.
the leaves are very tender like cress.
the only similar thing i can find in the book is copse bindweed but im not certain.
can anyone help id it please
regards mark.... |

| | | Re: another plant for id Looks like it might be a climbing corydalis to me Mark, (Ceratocapnos claviculata) - but I could be wrong.

Like yourself, I still rely quite heavily on books etc. to get ID confirmation on everything but the more common plants.
Could be a good idea for a new thread - the ID books people find most useful.
