Is this a good Idea...To dedicate a thread to wildflowers that throw out white forms, just so we can keep a good tally & admire, all due to a few good recent finds. Not forgetting, Pete Collin's white form of self heal?!?

Definitely a good idea Jez.

I'm sure we can at least rely on agrumpycow, and keenteen17, to step up with their white herb robert & white common Knapweed finds.

(I would post my white knapweed pic, but as i've said in the other thread, Keenteen's is a much better specimen of the plant than mine was).

I've been a bit 'taken' by herb robert this year letting it grow wherever it wants to in my garden. I know it can be variable but in my garden all flowers are white while some have green and some red leaves/stems. I just think it's a beautiful understated little flower

There's a white form of Bugle which grows near me. I'm not sure if I have any decent photos of it, if I have I'll upload one, if not, that gives me something to do next spring.

I have always been fascinated to find white forms of flowers. Here are my collection so far:
White Greater Knapweed - Centaurea scabiosa - Elie, Fife

White Devil's-bit Scabious - Succisa pratensis - Glen Girnaig & Meall Mor

Himalayan Balsam (white form) - Impatiens glandulifera - Around Barnyhill

White Heather - Caluna vulgairs alba - Creag na h-Uamha, Killiecrankie

Wood Cranesbill (White) - Geranium sylvaticum - Lulledalen, Skibotndalen, Troms

Stork's-bill (white) - Erodium cicutarium - Shell Bay, Fife

I hope the photos are all labelled correctly.

I have also seen white forms of Hedgerow crane's-biil and Stork's bill. Have lots of white Herb robert in my garden must have arrived in a pot from locale nursery
